Sure to know everything about villages on the Amalfi Coast?

When you think about the Amalfi Coast, what immediately comes to your mind is its rugged coastline, the deep blue sea and all those touristic localities that we’re used to shooting from our privileged perspective #goboating.

The area of the Amalfi Coast is a pattern of picturesque towns such as Amalfi, Vietri, Ravello, Positano…but this coastal strip it’s not just sea!

Watching from afar, the Coast seems a little crib perched on the highest slopes falling into the water, like a painting miles after miles, even more in this season.

Once you leave the shore and venture into the hinterland, you will discover several coastal villages hidden to the crowds of visitors, they meet offering breathtaking views and unusual landscapes, so close to the sea and even so distant.

In a matter of few kilometres, in fact, you can get from a trekking path in the middle of a wood to a sunny beach where you can chill out.

Located in a short distance from Ravello, we can find one of the smallest villages of the hinterland of the Amalfi Coast, Scala, characterized by a noteworthy historic centre! In the very heart of the town you can admire the old Cathedral, built in the 11th century and dedicated to San Lorenzo Martire, while around it’s surrounded by woods, where the chestnut tree prevails over all.

On the contrary, a place where you can breathe the real mountain air, especially during the Christmas season, is the hill town of Tramonti, situated on the single great valley of the whole Coast. And, although fishing tradition of the other coastal villages is far away from here, the village of Tramonti has strong and deep roots linked to the farming tradition. Things are just they used to be!

Finally, how not to mention the undoubted protagonist of the hinterland of the Coast: the Regional Park of Monti Lattari, that covers 160km² and gives the possibility to enjoy a broad variety of hiking trails.

Sea and mountains meet here giving birth to one of the most spectacular sceneries of our Coast, where terraces overlooking the sea and colourful citrus trees make this area a magical one, ready to discover it?
